Environmental Awareness
How can we as a society make a difference in our communities to save our planet. We believe the keys to protect and secure our ecosystem for generations to come starts with awareness. I remember when i was a child recycling was almost non existent. But recently due to our landfills filling up dramatically and also soaring commodity prices, recycling is prevalent. The prices of copper, aluminum and all precious metals have skyrocketed due to our consumption and the emerging markets. Awareness can be easy as Turing off a light switch or changing out incandescent exit signs to LED exit signs or better yet replacing these emergency light with non electric technology. After the World Trade Center collapsed many new laws have been implement in the event of a disaster. Glow in the Dark Egress markings refereed to as glow in the dark exit signs are required in all building over 12 stories. Local Law 26. Buildings are requirement to have egress in stairwells and all escape route. Glow in the dark product do not require any electricity and are code compliant. Tritium or Photoluminescent Exit signs are often used where there is no electricity and in the event of emergency they illuminate. Keep in mind that reducing waste by recycling has tremendous benefits to our environment. Please do your part and it starts with awareness.
