New York approved exit signs

In the five boroughs of New York there are specific requirements to meet code approved qualifications with regard to New York Approved Exit Signs. New York approved exit signs must be compliant with UL, NFPA, and NEMA building and fire codes. Requirements are as follows: The lettering for New York approved exit signs must have a one inch stroke and be eight inches high. The LED's on the New York approved exit signs must be red and the housing must be made of steel or aluminum. These are requirements not requests. Photoluminescent Exit Signs may be used for low level exit signs only, but not yet acceptable for the primary Exit Signs. photoluminescent markings are used as well.
