Tritium Exit Signs
H-3 is the chemical symbol for the Tritium within the Tritium Nuclear Exit Signs. This H-3 chemical symbol represents the radioactive isotope of H(Hydrogen), When rays that are cosmic in nature interact with air molecules Tritium is produced. This occurs naturally in out upper atmosphere. This is not the only way the Tritium found in Tritium Exit Signs is produced. Tritium is also a byproduct in electric reactors, and also special production reactors. This is where the isotope called lithium-6 is compelled to create Tritium. Low amounts of Tritium does occur naturally in the environment at a very low level of concentration. The majority of Tritium found in our environment is dissipated into the atmosphere easily being that it is in the form of tritiated water. Having said this, it is known that humans are constantly exposed to these low levels of Tritium on a daily bases through the environment and part of our food. Radium was previously in wide use, until it was banned due to hazard reasons. Now, Tritium is widely used. It is safe and effective. Tritium Exit Signs are used all over the world and are very popular in movie theaters. Tritium Exit Signs require no maintenance, no electricity and are the most reliable Exit Sign on the market. They will stay lit for 10 to 20 years. Just hang the Tritium Exit Sign and forget about it. Its that simple.
