Exit Signs

Exit Signs in early years came in metal box and was powered by an incandescent bulb. Sometimes they would even come with just a piece of glass covering a bulb. They were not very effective as if the power failed so did the exit sign. As improvements have been made over the years, we have seen exit signs come a long way. We now use LED(light emitting diode)exit signs or LEC(light emitting capacitor) exit signs for electrical exit signs. Photoluminescent exit signs which are non-electrical exit signs using industrial grade glow in the dark pigment and Tritium nuclear exit signs using a tritium gas to stay luminous are both the top selling non-electrical exit signs on the market today. Nowadays energy efficient Eco-Friendly exit signs are making a big name for themselves. Edge-lit exit signs are also very popular because of the there architectural design and LED technology.
